JUDGMENT
As we have already mentioned, the Ponferrada Court of First Instance had condemned in absentia, for having fled, and ten years in prison with retention, for the murder of the Sheriff of León. The FAILURE it issues regarding the other murders is as follows:
… declaring Manuel Blanco Romasanta (a) grocer, convicted of the nine murders that form the first charge, with the circumstances of having been executed the deaths with known malice and premeditation and as such included in article 333 of the Penal Code, with the aggravating factors of having been executed the deaths in depopulated and having intervened breach of confidence, included in numbers 9 and 15 article 10 of said Code, must Condemn and condemn the death penalty in a club with the imposition of costs and trial costs, acquitting him of the instance with respect to the other charges against him …
