MURDERERS
For many years Romasanta was attacking and murdering people to make money from it. I took out the anoints (lard or tallow) and sold it. This gave him the nickname of “ SACAUNTOS ” or “ SACAMANTECAS “. He also stole their keys and stole from their houses and then sold their personal belongings and clothes. In addition, in an act of necrophilia, he fed on the bodies of the people he murdered. As we have already discussed, he also stated during his trial that the main motivation for the crime was a curse that made him transform into a wolf. Despite this, he was aware of the actions carried out in that state, because after being restored to his natural state, he remembered what he had done when he was a wolf. The list of murders is long. We will try to order them in the order in which they occurred: The first murder of lobishome is believed to have been Manuel Ferreiro , husband of a woman from the Maceda parish who accompanied Manuel Blanco Romasanta to Portugal . He returned alone and told the woman that her man has stayed in Portugal that he needed to bring her his clothes. The first for which he was sentenced to 10 years, although he was unaccounted for by the authorities, was August 25, 1843 . The victim’s name was Vicente Fernández and he worked as bailiff in León . While he lives, he focuses his murderous cravings on two families: García Blanco and Rúa .
In 1846 the first case occurred in Rebordechao , it was the young Petronila García Blanco (January 1833), known as Petra. He ended his life while his mother, Manuela García Blanco (December 1799), was traveling. He told the mother that he had taken her to the Santander province to serve a priest. The latter wanted to march with the daughter and, under the pretext of helping her go, killed her. During the year 1847 he killed Benita García Blanco (1813) and his son Francisco N. (1837). Later, on November 16, 1850, he ended the life of José Pazos , son of Josefa García Blanco , whom he left lifeless on January 2, 1851. They all went under the pretext of looking for a better future. The next day to Palm Sunday of 1850 , the murder of Antonia Rúa (June 1813) and her daughter Peregrina (1847) took place . The last of the victims was María N. (1839), daughter of Antonia Rúa, in June 1951 .
Many other possible deaths of Manuel Blanco Romasanta were Manuel Ferreiro ; María Pérez , on May 1, 1849 in Changuazoso ; Josefa Arias , on May 12, 1849 in Fornelos and others that appeared to have been made by wolves.
The three sisters had another sister who Manuel Blanco Romasanta also tried to murder: María García Blanco. There were also other assassination attempts, such as with Manuel Fernández (a) Surtu and Luis García . During these years, Manuel Blanco Romasanta wrote letters posing as his victims. It is noteworthy that The Lobishome knew how to write despite social status. After these multiple deaths, he hides in Esgos , his hometown. On the recommendation of the pastor, he goes to Castile and, with his help, gets a passport with the name of Antonio Gómez , a native of Nogueira de Montederramo in the province from Ourense, forty-three years old, a widower without children and a shoe stud nailer. He obtained this false passport from the Mayor of Vilariño de Couso , Viana’s party, by presenting false documentation for him to grant. While in the fields of Castilla working after their flight from Galicia, two Galician day laborers recognized Manuel Blanco Romasanta . On July 2, 1852 the Mayor Nombela , judicial party of Escalona , projected an ex officio order for the arrest of the still-then-alleged murderer .
Company
Durant the statement confessed that it had not acted alone in any of the cases. Some people from the Kingdom of Valencia or Castilla called Antonio and D. Genaro joined their misdeeds. The three of them became wolves by the curse which kept them in this form for up to ten days.
Relationships
