MURDERERS

For many years Romasanta was attacking and murdering people to make money from it. I took out the anoints (lard or tallow) and sold it. This gave him the nickname of “ SACAUNTOS ” or “ SACAMANTECAS “. He also stole their keys and stole from their houses and then sold their personal belongings and clothes. In addition, in an act of necrophilia, he fed on the bodies of the people he murdered. As we have already discussed, he also stated during his trial that the main motivation for the crime was a curse that made him transform into a wolf. Despite this, he was aware of the actions carried out in that state, because after being restored to his natural state, he remembered what he had done when he was a wolf. The list of murders is long. We will try to order them in the order in which they occurred: The first murder of lobishome is believed to have been Manuel Ferreiro , husband of a woman from the Maceda parish who accompanied Manuel Blanco Romasanta to Portugal . He returned alone and told the woman that her man has stayed in Portugal that he needed to bring her his clothes. The first for which he was sentenced to 10 years, although he was unaccounted for by the authorities, was August 25, 1843 . The victim’s name was Vicente Fernández and he worked as bailiff in León . Apparently, he had bought material in León to sell, but he owes the supplier money. He sent the bailiff of León. The unknown whereabouts were Rebordechao . Where he will be living for about 10 years. The latter wanted to march with the daughter and, under the pretext of helping her go, killed her. During the year 1847 he killed Benita García Blanco (1813) and his son Francisco N. (1837). Later, on November 16, 1850, he ended the life of José Pazos , son of Josefa García Blanco , whom he left lifeless on January 2, 1851. They all went under the pretext of looking for a better future. The next day to Palm Sunday of 1850 , the murder of Antonia Rúa (June 1813) and her daughter Peregrina (1847) took place . The last of the victims was María N. (1839), daughter of Antonia Rúa, in June 1951 .

He obtained this false passport from the Mayor of Vilariño de Couso , Viana’s party, by presenting false documentation for him to grant. While in the fields of Castilla working after their flight from Galicia, two Galician day laborers recognized Manuel Blanco Romasanta . On July 2, 1852 the Mayor Nombela , judicial party of Escalona , projected an ex officio order for the arrest of the still-then-alleged murderer .
